How can I fix it?
Expert:  Eric replied 2 years ago.
I assumed you have repaired whatever caused the overheating issue. Most of the time when it overheats and gage no longer works, it is due to faulty ECT(engine coolant temperature) sensor.
If you need the location of it, I need the year and model of your Chevy
