Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LT: My 2004 chevy suburban is blowing

My 2004 chevy suburban is blowing out cold air and then all of a sudden hot air comes out of vents. sometimes turn a/c off and then back on a/c starts blowing cold air, sometimes i have to turn car off and restart.

I would start by replacing the AC compressor relay, since it's easy to access and inexpensive. If that doesn't fix it, we'll have to start with some real diagnosis, and that begins with knowing whether the compressor is engaging when this happens. It sounds like the compressor is cutting out and not coming back on.
