Chevrolet Tahoe LT: 05 Tahoe LT. Auto level control stopped

Customer Question

05 Tahoe LT. Auto level control stopped working at the same time that the frr LT blendoor locked at full heat. Rt side still worked OK, blew cold. After a 20 min shutdown all seemed to return to normal. Do the level control and left a ctrl crkts share a ground that might be the problem or? The left a tp ctrl has been a little little flaky lately

These two systems share no circuits. They have completely separate power and ground connections, plus the HVAC actuators are grounded internally to the HVAC controller, not externally, so a ground issue that affected one actuator would affect them all. Seems coincidental. Actuator failure is common, as is intermittent actuator failure. Tap testing or wiggling will usually bring a defective actuator back to life, so I'd say that you likely need to replace the RS temp door actuator. As for the suspension, that will need its own diagnosis if it acts up again.
