thank you for your prompt response. so i would need to obviously disengage the cover under the steering column....look for the module, and disconnect the connections...correct????

yes that will disable the modulealso if there is an antenna connected into it just unplug the antenna into it

There are several wires to this silver box. Not sure which one is the right one

there should be 2 connectors
unplug them both

I can't get them to come out of box. I shouldn't have to remove the entire module to disconnect the connectors correct???

they should disconnect off the module
if they are giving you a hard time and you need more room unbolt the module so it will move around to be able to unplug the connectors
