In may we had correspondence regarding 1986 chevy.5.0 would shut off while starts back up,but without warning shuts suggested checking dist.module and pick up coil.Replaced both items,car ran great for about two weeks without
shutting down.then it started shutting down again while driving.. Thought problem was solved but apparently not.suggestions??

Have you replaced the ignition coil? What type is it?

ignition coil replaced less than a year ago. Durlast

I'd like to make sure the distributor and coil are both well grounded. If the pocket for the distributor was corroded you may have made a little better connection when you removed it to replace the pickup coil, but now it is loosing ground when it heats up. Or it could have a problem with heating up the module because of the bad ground.
