Customer Question

06 cobalt the cooling fan does not kick on at all even as temp reached 260 I tested it and it has power in two of the three wires to the plug guessing low and high speed also I replaced all relays associated with the low and high fan speed as well as fuses
the third I assumed was the ground going to the temp switch which I also replaced then I hooked a jumper wire to this and grounded it and the fan turned on instantly but never shut off even after the key was taken out and temp reached minimum on the gauge
what cause this to happen
