I have a 2002 Silverado 2500HD. Was running fine last week.

I have a 2002 Silverado 2500HD. Was running fine last week. PArked it and tried to start it today and it does nothing. tried jumping it still nothing. Checked all fuses all okay. checked battery cables and they are fine. All lights work. Starter and solenoid not engaging at all.

Place your hand on the Starter relay in the underhood fuse panel and have someone else turn the key to Start. You should feel the relay click each tie the key is turned to the start position. Does the relay click?

If relay clicks and there is no engagement of the starter, the starter solenoid is bad. The solenoid is replaced together with the starter as an assembly.

I have been out of town. Have not checked relay to see if it is functioning.
