i'm trying to replace the brake switch in a 2008 chevy Colorado...I put the new switch in and brake lights still not working

can you see if the fuse called STOP in the under hod fuse box is blown ?
if its not see if that fuse shows 12 volts on both sides of the fuse testing it in place through the little openings in the tops of that fuse
if it shows 12 volts on both sides of it then at the brake light switch does the orange wire show 12 volts at it ?
