Customer Question

I have 2008 impala ss 5.3 the car dies on me going down the road or just warming up and the dash monitor says service stabilitrak, service traction control, engine power reduce starting disabled. I have already changed the throttle body and redone the battery cables and got a new battery, what else could be causing this?

Hello, my name is Bobby. It sounds like you either have a failing body control module, or more commonly a bad ignition switch. The ignition switch starts to fail internally and sends the wrong signals causing the vehicle to shut down. It will also cause these lights to come on. Did you plan on fixing this yourself?
