chevy blazer: trouble codes p1345

Resolved Question:

trouble codes p1345

BOBBYSS :

Hello JACUSTOMER, this code represents a problem with the reading between the crank and the cam sensors. Most of the time on this vehicle it is due to a faulty crank position sensor. It can also be due to a worn out timing chain but the vehicle would also be running poorly. How is the vehicle running?

Customer:

vehicle runs fine

BOBBYSS :

Okay. I would start by clearing the code to see if it comes back. If it does then remove the distributor cap and make sure that the sensor located inside of it is clean. If all of this is clean and tight then replace the crank position sensor.
