Expert's Assistant chatimg
Customer: I'm installing front struts on a 2001 Chevy Impala. Got the struts out without too much trouble, and had the coil spring & assembly put on by a machine shop. I'm trying to install the struts but running into some trouble. I've got the strut attached at the shock tower, but can't seem to get the steering knuckle bolt hole to align with the strut. The strut appears to be about 1/2 to 3/4 inch too long. Can I jack up the strut to compress it some? Or how should I do this?

Thanks
