Welcome. Most often the check engine light does not usually cause a battery drain issue. These were sent out with batteries that turned out to be weak and replacement is common so that is expected.

What codes are set?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Don't have the codes, tech kept them and not on the invoice. He just said they were emission codes.
Expert:  GM Tech (Cam) replied 6 years ago.
Emissions codes wil not cause the battery to go dead.
If the code is back on, then go to your local part store and let them scan for free.

Po449 -I went to auto store. A lot of discussion about the Evap filter and solenoid. Could the circuit form the solenoid drain the battery slowley?

Expert:  GM Tech (Cam) replied 6 years ago.
Usually not. That is a feed from e ignition not a battery so it should not. Anyway that code is for the circuit on the evap vent valve, usually the valve is bad or the circuit is open.
