The refrigerant is added to the A/C System via the Low Side Service Port. This port is located on the side of the Accumulator.

Where can kits be purchased? Will I need special tools? How will I know how much to add?
Expert:  Ron Z. replied 6 years ago.

The refill kit can be purchased just about anywhere. Any parts store will have a DIY Refill Can. All aftermarket refill cans have different application methods, so read the directions provided on the can. You will not need any special tools, as they will all be included in the kit- some even come with a built-in gauge to let you know when the system is full. If the one you are using does not, the refrigerant capacity is 3.5 lb (1.59 kg).
