VerifiedTHe key and tumbler is what causes this problem, I have had good luck releasing this problem by lightly tapping on the end of the key with a small hammer while trying to turn the key, if the switch turns by tapping the key you will need to get the key and tumbler replaced because there is a problem inside of it and it will stick again and if you can not get it to turn at all you will need to have the key and tumbler replace also. The wheel locking or not will not cause this problem.
P.S. I have done the tapping the key for 30 minutes before it has worked in the past so be patient.
