Trying to find the IAC sensor for my 2005 Trailblazer

Do you have the 6 or the 8 cylinder?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
6 cyl.

This vehicle does not have an Idle Air Control Valve that is servicable seperately. The IAC is built into the Throttle Body, and must be serviced as a unit.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I am trying to install a rapid performance. It says to splice it in to the IAC or CTS

Ahhhh.. No. You splice into the IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor, not the IAC.

The IAT is plugged into the Air Cleaner Housing duct. It is a 2-prong connector. The wire colors are Tan and Black. Tan is "signal" and Black is "reference".

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Oh... that makes sense then.... is it on top of the duct?

It should be on the side. Follow the duct work from the Air Cleaner housing to where it meets the engine, you'll see it. If it's not there, then it will be built into the Mass Air Flow sensor (the build dates had different locations). Again, even if built into the MAF, Black and Tan.

There is one plug going into the intake duct. it has a 1 and 3/4 inch nose with 2 wires going in to it.

Thats the baby. Should be Black and Tan, yes?
