Malibu 2006. No breaklight and no turn signal on rear passenger side. Need to replace passenger side rear tail light bulb? How do I remove the light assembly to get to the bulb?

REMOVE TRUNK LINER: Open your trunk. On whichever side you are changing, locate and remove the two plastic nuts by hand. Pull back the trunk liner and there will be two more plastic nuts securing the tail light assembly in the trunk area. Remove those two plastic nuts, by hand as well.
REMOVE TAIL LIGHT: Now, look at the tail light (outside of the trunk) and you will see a black plastic piece inboard of the light lense, that attaches and secures the tail light to the car body. Find the black philips head screw near the bottom and remove. I think there is only one.

Now you can pull the taillight housing out, and get access to the twist-on bulb holders. Note that they go in only one way, look at the tabs on teh bulb holder to match them with the corresponding notches on the housing.
