2008 TAHOE ODOMETER LIGHTS AND prnd LIGHTS NOT WORKING. I have a good mechanical ability and want to see how to and what parts it will take to fix this. The odometer panel is out all the way... the PRND is very dim
do all the gages work properly?fuel.temp.ect..?does the back lighting light behind the other gages?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Yes seems to be just these two places
more than likely what is wrong is the gauge cluster is bad its self.the odometer is internally run by the cluster its self it uses the same power and grounds that it does for all the other gages and indicators.and since they are working fine the cluster needs to be changed.if you get one to put in the new one HAS to be programed with a scan tool.any shop can do this that has programing capability.i wish i had better news for you.

Do you have specific instructions on replacing the cluster?

try this should work out just fine!

after this is off 4 screws holding in the cluster then slide it out towards you and unplug it
