2001 chevy monte carlo ss: the drivers side door rest..corroded

Resolved Question:

I have a 2001 chev monte carlo ss. Thw dual window switch on the drivers side door rest is operating eratically. I believe the switch is just a bit corroded, I want to acess the switch which is right ubder a little panel but I don't want to break anything . Please tell me how to get under this panel . It looks like I take out 1-3 screws and can then pry it up . I have tried this but am afraid to pry too hard as I don,t want to break anything.

Paul your answer is a little confusing , so do I have to take the entire drivers door panel off to change out the switck or can I jus pop off the little cover after taking out the first 3 screws?

according to mitchell the entire door panel need to be removed

once you take out all the screws you can pop the panel free by sliding a flathead behind the panel and popping the clips free .. it is held in by a lot of pop clips
