Hi, there are 4 possibilities, depending on which carburetor is on the engine..
Anyways. here is a picture of the specs on the engine.. the Dwell is labeled as Cam Angle in this chart... your 350 is on the bottom 4 engines.. I did it like that, so you could see what all the 'specifications' are for on the 72:

The 1978 model does not have a point type ignition, so if you are using the HEI distributor on this engine, then you will set the timing to 8 BTDC, and use AC delco R45TS plugs gapped to 0.045".
