S10: 2.2L..tricks for getting starter motor out..bracket..bell housing

Resolved Question:

94 2.2L S10- any tricks for getting starter motor out. Removed support bracket but still need 1/2 inch to clear the bell housing for removal

You need the front tires hanging down so that you get added clearance.



After all the mounting bolts have been unfastened, slide the starter motor forward, tilt the rear end up and remove the starter motor. This may involve a little bit of twisting and turning but it will come out
