Usually the batter light is the first sign of a alternator problem. Sometimes the lights will start to dim or other warning lights will pop on due to lack of voltage. Most parts stores can test a alternator while on your car and they offer this service for free

If an auto parts store test the alternator and the alternator is fine. Do you have any other suggestions on what the issue might be?

You may have a fuel level sensor issue in the fuel tank for the fuel gauge issue, and it may be a wiring or computer issue for the light...but think simple first
