2006 Chevrolet Impala, Problem with remote door locks/start

Resolved Question:

2006 Chevrolet Impala, Problem with remote door locks/start (poor range) Range has gone from 200 feet to about 10 feet. Found document id(NNN) NNN-NNNN seems to fit. Dealer says he has nothing on it. Help

Yes, there is a GM service bulletin for your problem.

The repair for this is the replace the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver, the antenna for the receiver, and both remotes.

 

After replacement, the door lock receiver will need to be programmed, remotes programmed, and tire pressure system (if applicable) programmed.

 

This repair works everytime.
