1989 Chevy: My steering column..loose

My steering column is loose on my 1989 Chevy silverado and I don't have a manual to help me - can you?

Those steering columns are bad for the bushing wearing out. It will need to be repaired or replaced by someone who is trained to work with the airbag as it will have to be removed to make the repair. In some cases the column will need to be replaced if there is a lot of damage.
