Customer Question

2004 Avalanche 2W Z66. My Traction Control And ABS lights come on after about 1 mile of driving. They go off once in a while but usually remain on . What can I do to fix this?

Hi and welcome to Just Answer!

The first thing to do would be to buy or rent an ABS code reader to extract the codes from the ABS module and if you post them here, I can give you a good idea of whats going on and what to change.

I'll do it and get back to you. Is there a charge for this?
Expert:  Anthony replied 8 years ago.
Actually there is never a charge unless you "accept" my answer which I havent provided yet. Try to get the codes from the ABS unit and we can go from there. Your looking for a wheel speed sensor code which is pretty easy to fix.
