Chevrolet Repair Questions? Ask a Chevy Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello & Welcome,
Can you tell us the Year of you Tahoe?
Do you have a test light or mulimeeter you can use to do some tests?
Thanks for that information.
Do the Daytime Running Lights work? That is, the headlights are on when the headlight switch is off (during the day).
Also, can you switch from high beams to low beams and have them work on either setting?
OK - Thanks.
Below is a schematic for part of the Headlight & DRL system. I believe the easiest thing to test at this point it the DRL Relay, or perhaps just replace it as it is not that expensive and easy to get to.
The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Relay is located under the left side of the Instrument Panel (IP), at the lower center of the convenience center. I am hoping that it is not the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Module, which is located under the left side of the IP, taped to the IP harness, but you might want to check the connections to that module, because you mentioned that the lights would flicker when the tilt wheel was moved.
I will see if I can find a diagram of the exact locations of these parts.
Please let me know what you find, or if you need more information.
Here are the diagrams for the locations of those parts.
Please let me know what you find.
Take Care, Greg A.
You are quite welcome and thanks for the accept.
Let me know if you need more info.
