you torque the intake manifold bolts on a 1999 vortec 5.7l..leaking

Resolved Question:

Can you torque the intake manifold bolts on a 1999 vortec 5.7l more if you use the Fel-Pro perma dry gasket? I have had trouble with the old style gaskets leaking and the new style gasket is supposed to be better.

There is really no need to overtorque the manifold bolts. The gaskets will only compress so far and overtorquing the bolts may distort the manifold and cause more leakage problems. The new style gasket is better, these newer design gaskets are also available through GM.
