1995 chevy astro: power steering pump..shaft..hydro boost..brake pedal

Resolved Question:

Replaced power steering pump on a 1995 Chev Astro with hydro boost brakes, the shaft was broken, had no brakes or steering, now I have power steering but no power assist for brakes, replaced hydro boost and still no power brake assist. The brake pedal has lots of height but no assist, rear brakes are new & front brakes approx 50 % remaining. What else could be wrong???

HelloCustomer I had replaced a hydro-boost on a larger Chevy truck and found within the ports of where the lines connected, there was a check ball. Look over your original hydroboost and the new one and see if there is an item that you needed to swap over, but didn't realize needed to be. This is just a thought but it may be your ticket. Let me know if you find anything.
