2003 tahoe, starter replacement,. I removed the two bolts but it is hitting something when I try to slide it out?
Welcome. You have the 2 bolts out, take the shield off the top of the solenoid, remove the 10mm bolt from the plastic and take the wires off. From there it is just a case of lifting the back of the starter in such a way to clear the mount and the dipstick to drop the nose out. This is possible, just takes a moment of trying to get the proper position.
