This comes out inside the truck. The glove compartment and defrost ducts have to be removed to make room to work. After that its a pretty easy job

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Sorry, I scewed up-the year of the truck is 1997 !!!! not 1977
Are the instrutions the same?

Expert:  Pragueress replied 8 years ago.

Too bad, this one gets more involved.

  • Disconnect battery cable
  • Remove glove compartment, and computer
  • remove the center flood duct
  • Remove kick panel, blower motor cover and blower motor
  • Drain colant and remove coolant resrevior
  • Remove heater hoses
  • Remove the steering column
  • Tilt dassh panel backRemove heater case
  • Remove heater case cover
  • Unfasten heater core from heater case

By now you probably wish this was a 1977 model
