chevy: heated 04..few minutes..Is this a common problem?

Customer Question

The heated seats on my 04 Chev Avalanche are turning off by themselves. Sometimes they will stay on for a few minutes sometimes not. Is this a common problem? If so is there a quick fix?

Welcome Nate. The probable issue is a bad seat heater element. IF you have a test light, I can direct you through the diagnosis. The elements are about 160 each from GM, and are not too bad to change.
