2001 chevy malibu: warms..the themostat housing..exhaust manifold

Resolved Question:

How do I replace the thermostat on my wifes 2001 chevy malibu. The car never warms up. It looks like the themostat housing will hit the exhaust manifold before I can remove the thermostat. I hope theat the manifold doesn't need to come off. Once again they build the car so that it costs a fortune to get it fixed. Thanks
