WelcomeCustomer What has happened it the tab that engages the reverse mechanism is worn off. This system works by reversing the motor, this tab catches a lever and allows the wipers to be reversed into the park position. You can bend the tab that is part of the wiper motor support to make it work for a while, but to properly repair it, you need to replace the wiper motor support.

Where is this tab?

HERE is a picture. I have circled the tab. You only need to bend it slightly toward the center.
