Here is what you will need to do to properly remove the door panel on this 01 Silverado. Feel free to contact me with any questions! Good luck!


  1. Insert a flat-bladed tool between the door handle bezel and the trim panel in order to release the door handle bezel tab retainers.
    Object Number: 370110  Size: SH

  2. Remove the door handle bezel from the door panel.
  3. If equipped, remove wondow crank.
    Object Number: 348499  Size: SH

  4. Remove the window crank handle. Be sure to retain the retainer clip on the back side of the handle.
    Object Number: 294578  Size: SH

  5. Insert a flat-bladed tool into the slots on the power accessory switch panel in order to release the retainer clips.
  6. Remove the switch panel.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the switches.

  8. Release the upper extension by pulling outward on the front edge in order to release the upper retainer clips.
  9. Remove the upper extension from the trim panel by lifting up and out.
  10. Remove the trim panel screws.
    Object Number: 348452  Size: SH
  11. Remove the courtesy light, if equipped.
  12. Remove door panel screws.
  13. Remove the trim panel from the door, carefully sliding the trim panel up to release the retainers from the door.
  14. Remove the speaker wire.

My truck has power windows...are there just clips holding the panel on?

Ok then you do not need to worry about the crank arm. Yes there are plastic clips around the door panel, remember to slide it up to release the panel.
