1997 Chevy S10: 2.2L..100k miles..Wont go over 30 MPH...throttle

Resolved Question:

1997 Chevy S10 pickup, 2.2L, 100k miles. Won't go over 30 MPH. First code said replace Throttle Postion Sensor - did that, no improvement. Second code - "Multiple Cylinder Misfires", changed plugs (they were in bad shape) & wires. Still no improvement. Should I take it to a shop or is there any other maintenance I can do to solve this problem prior to

Usually this type of problem is too much exhaust back pressure.This is ,most of the time, a stopped up converter.You can check the exhaust back pressure with a gage at the o/2 sensor hole,or just pull down the exhaust & run it.Back pressure should be no more than 1 &1/2 psi.
