95 chevy silverado 1500: keyless entry..troubleshoot..I not obd II

i have a 95 chevy silverado 1500 4x4 have the keyless entry remote cant figure out how to program remote and or troubleshoot vehicle is still OBD I not obd II

Do you only have 1 remote?

yes the original remote i believe
just replaced the batteries

i did not have the key on at all and i grounded pin g but the locks didnt do anything nor did anything else

Most likely its a fault with the reciever module.

But first you need to check the fuse listed below and the keyless entry relay.

If both check out ok with either a testlight/voltmeter or ohm meter,,then replace the reciever module.

ok i checked all fuses and the two relays good but i have another problem that may be linked to this the door locks work manually but the interior lights also only work manually by the dimmer switch and the cargo light only turns on when the dimmer switch is on yet all fuses are good is there something else i can look for also transmitter not located there cannot find this vehicle is a stick and vin number is XXXXX

Sorry..the K series (4x4) ,,,,,the module is located behind the left hand sound panel insulator..its more than likely the culprit.

ok i have found the module but my bright lights are not working and the bright indicator in the dash does not work i have a feeling that these are related and where can i get a module cheap???
