1996 Silverado What color wire on brake light switch ...

This answer was rated:

1996 Silverado:What color wire on brake light switch do I connect trailer brake controller? Is there an easier location to tie in to it than the switch? As you know I need the hot wire when brakes are activated.

Welcome to Just Answer,

Yes there are a couple of locations much better than the stop lamp switch,

Notice S220 in the diagram the white wire coming from the brake switch splices here, It shows in the diagram a wire taped to harness, if you can find this it will work, another location is pin F6 in the conveince center, just to the left of the brake pedal against firewall.
