The power for the pump itself comes from the "ECMB" fuse.

The trigger power for the fuel pump relay comes from the ECM which gets it's power from various fuses.

what is the ECM? is it in the distributor?

Engine Control Module but the fuse should be labeled ECMB.

You could simply test the orange wire at the oil pressure switch with the key on. If it has power, the fuse is good.

I just noticed that some models use a fusible link instead of the ECMB fuse. That should be at the starter.
