i have 2003 chevrolet silverado fuel gauge does not work

Resolved Question:

fuel gauge does not work properly i have change the fuel level sensor it did not fix the problem could you please tell me what the problem is thanks

Usually the fuel level sensor is the problem,but there are other pieces in the system that do fail also.To find the problem correctly you should check the wiring to the instrument cluster.If the wiring checks good your problem is going to be the gauge in the cluster.I am sending an electrical schematic to help you.If you have the use of a Tech 2 scanner you can test the gauge circuit with an output test.
