HiCustomer Thank you for asking your question on Just Answer.

Here is the procedure for checking the fluid. This is a PDF file that you should be able to view on your computer and print out if needed.

Check Transmission Fluid.

The basic are:

1-Get the transmission to running temperature
2-Raise the vehicle on a level lift.
3-Remove the fill/drain plug
4-Make sure fluid is up to the level of the bottom of the plug
5-Fill if needed & replace plug.

All of this has to done with the engine running, so to have a proper lift is essential.

I hope this helps.

Take Care, Greg A.
