Cylinder Head Bolts:
Tighten the cylinder head bolts sequentially in two steps.
1st step torque: 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.)
2nd step torque: + 90°

Your question was for a 1997 as above........

Here is for 1998 ( which is the same):


50 Nm + 90°(37 ft. lbs. + 90°)

Tighten the bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.) in the sequence shown. Use the J 36660 in order to tighten the bolts an additional 90°.
