How do I disable the anti theft system on a 2003 Chevy Malibu

Customer Question

6-7 times a month I can't start my car and it's due to the anti theft system. I was told to let the car sit in the on position for 10 minutes and the car will start. So I have to do this everytime it won't start and it's becoming a pain. I want to disable it completely. Please help me.

There is no way to disable that system. It is a key recognition system that is written right into the software.

You may have a bad sensor in the ignition or something. You will need the factory scan tool to diagnose it properly and they should be able to fix it once and for all.
