  • Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  • Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
    1. Remove the differential carrier shield mounting bolts, if equipped.
    2. Remove the differential carrier shield, if equipped.
    3. Remove the starter mounting bolts.
    4. Disconnect the wires from the solenoid
    5. Remove the starter from the vehicle
