Hi i have a chevy str 6 cyl 250 engine that i need the firing order for. I also would like to know if the rear plug is the number 1 cyl. Thank you Jerry

firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 front cylinder is number 1

also which way is best to find out #1 on the cap?

That is correct 1-6 starting in the front.To find #1 on the cap,Remove number 1 spark plug,and stick your finger into the spark plug hole,have a freind bump the starter over untill compression is felt out of the hole,as soon as compression is felt,turn the engine by hand untill the timing marks line up on the crankshaft pulley.Remove the distributor cap and note which where the distributor is pointing to.This is number one cylinder,the distributor turns in a clockwise rotation
