To get past the password ***** will have to do another reset:

  1. Press and hold the power button + volume up button + home key until the Samsung logo appears, then release only the power button.
  2. From the Android system recovery screen, select wipe data/factory reset.
  3. Select Yes -- delete all user data.
  4. Select reboot system now.

Now it is telling me I have to wait a few hours to try again. This is absurd. At this point, we just want to wipe the phone clean and create a new email account and put that on there. This is just getting ridiculous. I have paid for this phone for years and now cannot even use it.

Google's account protection is very secure, they do not easily let someone wipe the phone and use a different account otherwise stolen phones could easily be used by someone else.

No. It just said a few hours. It has asked for an email that could be checked right now to verify the account. She does not have any passwords to any of her accounts. And it will not allow me to put in mine to get her account verified. It does not make sense to me.
