Customer Question

no longer shows caller ID
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: model CRL82112 purchased 12/2013
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: caller ID shows up as of 11/03/2016. Suddenly, only words: "Incoming call"
JA: Anything else you want the phone expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: shows on phone. I used manual to go to settings, then to caller ID announce, pressing menu when done each step. I turn base and phones to "ON" , press menu, then continue on. Still not working.

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

I'm Greg and will do my best to assist you today.

Sorry to hear of any issue you are having with your phones.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) How many TOTAL cordless handsets do you have with this system, and of MORE than ONE, do ALL handsets have this same issue?

2) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?

3) Do you have ANY OTHER "Caller ID" phones (NOT part of the AT&T system) attached to this same phone line and if so, are they working properly (show the Caller ID)?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
1. yes, all 3 do not have caller ID
2. ATT

OK - caller ID issues are USUALLY traced back to either "signal problem" or service provider problems - where the correct signals are not making it to the base unit of the phone system.

So may I ask if you have had ANY "signal issues" recently - such as "noise" on the line, or something similar?

Hi again,

I see it has been a few days and I haven't seen a response on this page, so I just wanted to follow up to see if you have any more questions concerning this issue OR if the issue was resolved?

I look forward to any further questions or results that you may have.

Thanks, ***** *****
