I cannot get to the standby screen. I tried unlock code to many times and it locked phone. it is asking for my google account login but i don't know what that is. I would like to clear phone to factory settings. I don't need to save any data.

Okay, I think you have your LG model wrong. The LG Shine doesn't have Android on it, I can tell you how to reset you phone no problem but I need to know the correct model so I can give you the steps. There is a reset process unique to each type of Android phone when it is locked out like yours.

I took the model number right off the phone. It has a touchscreen on top and a side out keypad on the side. It is called the LG Shine Plus with Google in Canada. The number on manual is LG-C710h.

Okay the Shine Plus Wink.

We can reset it by updating the Software through LG. Follow these steps, and you will upgrade and unlock the phone.

Download the software update to your computer

  1. Launch Internet Explorer or Firefox.

  5. Click Search.
  6. Upgrade is available appears in red.
  7. Scroll down to Download LG Mobile Support Tool to PC and click Download.
  8. The File Download window appears. Click Run. NOTE: If this screen does not appear, you will need to disable the pop-up blocker from the browser's Tools menu.
  9. Click Options & Help.
  10. Click Country & Language. From the drop down list, select Canada.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Install USB Driver.
