Cats are simple creatures. For eons they have survived by concerning themselves with three basic instincts:
1. Procuring food and eating
2. Not getting eaten by predators
3. Reproducing the species
The strongest, without any question, is number 2; otherwise the other two will not matter.
For this reason, if the cat perceives a threat, it will usually stop its other normal behaviors, even eating, until it again feels secure in its environment.
Cats are solitary survivor and territorial animals who need a sense of control, safety, choice and familiarity, not only in their physical environment but also in their social environment.
The vomiting may be associated with the increased feeding of treats, other diet factors, stress, or there could be another medical problem.
If the symptoms persist or worsen, evaluation by a veterinarian is best.
Let me know if there is anything further I can help you with, or if you need clarification on anything. I want to be sure that I have answered your question to your satisfaction.
Thank you. Is/was the vomit clear/white, yellow, brown, or all food?
So I am clear this vomiting happened yesterday, and OJ has since eaten with no further vomiting. Is that correct?
Thank you. Please review the recommendations above. If the symptoms persist or worsen, OJ should be properly examined.
Since you have no further questions, I will mark this question complete.

The introduction or exposure to the dog will be very stressful for OJ if the dog is not completely controlled.
There needs to be ample areas above which the dog cannot get like cat trees and other verticle climbing surfaces.
