Hi, I'm Dr Rebecca, a small animal veterinarian with 30 years of practice experience. I am happy to assist you in any way I can today, I am a pet owner first and foremost and understand how concerning it is when they are sick. I’m not able to make a diagnosis or prescribe medication for your pet, but I am happy to answer any questions that I can and help you determine of there is something we can do for your pet at home or if it would be wise to visit with your “in person” veterinarian. Please allow me a few minutes to respond to your questions- typing and in some cases doing some research or calculations can take a few minutes. Remember I am not seeing your pet, so you are my eyes and hands- please read my questions carefully and answer them as thoroughly as you can, as the relevance of the information I can give you is directly related to how accurately you answer my questions. The app will ask if you prefer a phone call; you do not have to accept this if you would rather communicate here. I am currently available for phone consults if you prefer. Be aware that if you have a robokiller app on your phone or are outside the US calls may not be able to go through. If you do want to request a phone call, it is best to tell me on the chat first as once you request it I only have a few minutes to see it and respond or it will lock me out of the chat and send you to another expert.
Where exactly is Nacho bleeding from?
OK; that makes us very concerned about the possibility of a urinary obstruction or partial obstruction; that is a very typical presentation. This is an emergency and needs to see your vet or emergency clinic immediately. When they are straining and just producing a few drops of blood, that typically means they cannot urinate; they then are not only very painful, but have elevated potassium levels because it's not being excreted, and that can cause a fatal heart arrhythmia.
You are most welcome; I hope you are able to get him seen and get it addressed. We definitely do see stress as a factor in cats who have trouble, as well as diet (premium canned food is usually recommended) and water intake.
DId you have any other questions for me today?

Have a good rest of your day.
