If you are unable to get antibiotics until monday then cleaning the wound with warm saline a few times a day will help to clear out the bacteria.

Your local pet store should have strong antiseptic. Leucillin is a great one to use as it contains the strongest natural chemicals and will help to rid any bacteria and infection and help the wound to heal.

Ok if you are able to get to tractor supply they do stock many over the counter versions of antibiotics. I would call to them and see what your local one has in stock. A broad spectrum one would be the best to use

Yes they can. I would definitely call to tractor supply. It depends on your local store as to the variety of what they will have but you should be able to get something to even get him started today.

Keep cleaning it as you are though and if you can get a good strong antiseptic spray that will help too. I am not sure if tractor supply do leucillin but if they do, its fantastic for wounds like this
