I'm sorry Tiny isn't doing well! Stress can definitely cause vomiting in some cats, and even sometimes with blood in it. Are you able to give Tiny pills by mouth?
You could give Tiny 1/2 tablet of a 10 mg Pepcid twice daily to help soothe and heal the lining of her stomach. Pepcid (Generic name is Famotidine) is a human antacid you can get over-the-counter at any drug or grocery store.
There are some good You Tube videos that demonstrate how to pill a cat.
Withhold food for 24 hours to allow her gut time to rest and time for the Pepcid to start working. Make sure she has plenty of fresh water available.
Having a pet examined in person is always a good idea. Bloodwork could test for any issues with her kidneys, liver, pancreas, etc.
Would you like me to continue home care instructions, or will you be bringing Tiny into the vet today?
Good plan! After fasting, make her a bland diet consisting of a 50/50 mix of cooked white rice and boiled skinless white meat chicken. Feed one teaspoon every 4 hours initially, and if no vomiting, then gradually increase the amount fed and the length of time between feedings. If no vomiting for 24-48 hours, then you can gradually start mixing her regular food in with the chicken and rice, and then wean her off the rice mix.
Once she is eating her regular food you can discontinue the Pepcid.
If Tiny continues vomiting, especially if you see more blood, if she quits eating or playing, or if she becomes extremely lethargic, then she definitely needs to see the vet in person.
Do you have any additional questions or concerns?
Sounds good. I hope Tiny starts feeling better for you soon!
You are most welcome!
